A conference paper was presented at the 6th International Conference on Emerging Technologies in Nondestructive Testing (ET-NDT6) held between the 27th-29th May 2015, at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. The paper entitled Application of the SAFT at low frequencies for detection of the concentrated defect in sprinkler pipe describes long-range ultrasonic testing for the detection of defects in fire sprinkler systems, the developed SAFT technique for processing and analysing torsional (shear horizontal) waves and verification of the technique using modelling and experimental data.
